What is Recovery Mode?
Recovery mode is small partition that was created by your device’s manufacturer, in order to do several things. You can do factory reset, deleting apps and caches, as well as installing software or OS update. Basically, recovery mode exists to save your data in that device from problem, as well as optimizing your device. Or, in simplest way, recovery mode is the solution for your device problem.
How to Open It?
It depends on the OS and device type that you have. For Android, you need to press and hold “Power” button and “Volume Down” button. After you do that, your Android devices will be restarted and you can enter the recovery mode. When you enter this mode, you can’t use your touch screen. Instead, you need to use “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” button to move the cursor and “Power” button to choose the option.
For iOS device, here are the steps.

- Press and hold Side button.
After you do all those steps above, you will enter Recovery Mode screen, where you can choose to update or restore your iOS device.
What you must remember here is this method use physical button to activate. That means you can only use the Recovery Mode as the last resort, when you can’t solve your device problem with any other method.
